Romania, a less known winter destination is very attractive during the white season and has a large array of mountain chains perfect for practicing snowshoeing.
We suggest you some snowshoeing tours in the mountains that limit the southern part of Transylvania – “the land beyond the forests” – home of famous Dracula, combined with some cultural tours in the most important places of Transylvania.
Our snowshoeing tours will start in the Piatra Craiului Mountains, the Bucegi Mountains, full of mysteries and history, the Făgăraş Mountains – the highest in Romania, also known as the “Transylvanian Alps” and we’ll end in the Cindrel Mountains – truly breathtaking.

Day 1: Welcome in Romania..A little bit of culture about Romania
Arrival to the Otopeni-Bucarest International Airport.
Transfer to Sinaia, Visit the Peles Castle.

Day 2: Warm-up snowshoeing tour in the Bucegi Mountains..
Route: Cota 1400 Hotel–Cable Car to Cota 2000–Furnica Peak (2103 m)–Calugarului Saddle–Babele & Sphinx monuments (2200 m)–cable car to Busteni.

Descend with the cable car from Babele cabin to Busteni City.
Transfer by minibus to Brasov
Visit the historical center of Brasov( max 2 hours guided tour)

Day 3: Snowshoeing tour in the Bucegi Mountains.
Route: Brasov – Bran - Moeciu village – Bangaleasa Valley – Gutanu Glade (1470 m) – Lom Ridge – Simon Village – Zarnesti.
In the morning cultural visit at the Bran Castle- Dracula’s Castle

Transfer at the bottom of the Fagaras Mountains, Balea waterfall area.

Day 5: Up in the Fagaras Mountains: Balea Lake area..Visit the Ice Hotel & Ice Church.
Route : Balea Valley – Balea Lake area- Curmatura Balii Saddle.
Today we should visiting the single Ice Hotel in the Southern Europe, built with pieces of ice from the lake…Closer to this hotel will find also a Ice Church.

Transfer Sibiu-Paltinis Ski resort..28 km.
