Our group of four spent two days hiking in the Fagaras Mountains. From our base at the Cabana Paltinu our guide Iulian had planned an itinerary for each day and in spite of our short stay we got an extensive overview of the area. Coming from Austria we are spoiled with lots of mountains, and still the Fagaras range is something special and absolutely worth a visit. Iulian proved to be a great guide: sympatico, competent, reliable, experienced and very knowledgable. Besides he is a great photographer and provided us with a fantastic selection of pics.
