Candy colors and candy concentrates can be mixed with clear bases, integrated clear coatings or even conventional clear coatings. I do not recommend the use of conventional clear coats, as it will be mixed with catalysts or curing agents which will shorten the life of the candy and should be used immediately. House Of Kolor uses an integrated transparent glue called SG100. After being mixed with candies, it still has a long shelf life because it does not use a curing agent. The solvent-based materials used by House Of Kolor work well but are toxic. If you want to use similar products with non-toxic or water-based paints, you should use "auto-coloring" products.
